Meet the experts who will be guiding you through the Joining Creative Europe Workshop – and who will be available for tailored advice and support: Frans Brouwer, Benita Lipps and Lars Seeberg.

Frans Brouwer
Frans Brouwer Cultural Management, Amsterdam
FransBrouwer Specialised in project developmentinterdisciplinary and international cultural projects as well as in strategic and executive leadership, Frans Brouwer is active in an extensive international network.The Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission, regularly invites him as an external expert to assess grant applications for culture.Previous activities include research at Groningen University, directorships at two academies of music, three (interdisciplinary) arts festivals and two music ensembles. In addition, he has organised many interdisciplinary cultural projects in and outside Europe. He has worked as a project leader at European Cultural Capital Copenhagen 1996.

Frans also serves as a consultant for cultural organisations and has been a board member of many organisations including a museum, music ensembles and festivals in Europe. Frans studied science of liturgy and musicology in Groningen and Utrecht. He received his Ph.D. degree at Utrecht University with a dissertation about cultural history in Scandinavia.

Benita Lipps
DaVinci Institute, Brussels
BenitaLipps As Executive Director of the DaVinci Institute, Benita Lipps is responsible for European projects and the DaVinci Think-Tank. She supervises the Creative’s Europe Community and specialises in EU project management, communication & engagement, and network coordination.With a background in arts management, Benita has been managing collaborations between creatives from science, society and culture for over 10 years. Benita has been following the EU Cultural Programmes since 1999, when she worked at the UK Cultural Contract point to the EU.

Benita acts as board member to the European Society of Association Executives, is a member of the German Society for Culture and Cultural Politics, and Expert in the European Performing Arts Network ‘Theatron’. Since 2005, she acts as independent expert and evaluator to the European Commission.

Lars Seeberg
See@rt, Copenhagen and Berlin
LarsSeeberg As director of see@rt, Lars Seeberg shares his experience in the international cultural field as an artistic advisor for theatres, multicultural venues and funding initiatives of the European Commission and the Nordic Cultural Foundation. He also leads Theatron as network director.Lars has been working in the international arts and cultural scene for the last 20 years. As secretary general of the Aarhus Festival for 10 years, he has co-produced and presented many of the most important Danish and international artists in many fields, including theatre, dance, performance, music and concerts, music theatre and visual arts.

Lars is a board member of the Danish Royal Theatre, acts as expert and policy advisor and is supporting a diverse range of performing arts cooperations. Based in Denmark and Berlin and with working relations as far as Beijing, he offers his ideas and network for the creation of new works and the exchange of existing productions around the world.
